The informatics interest group of the SPD, the VOV, is even a sponsor of
the Eurolinux petition and a co-signatory of the Public Letter
http://swpat.ffii.org/xatra/epue28/epue28de.pdf
which came out in a new version 1.3.3 yesterday, which incorporates a lot
of new information in the appendices and has grown to 49 pages. The
sending of this to 55 politicians has helped and it is being continued.
The quotes from the parties mean only as much as we manage to make of
them. If we work hard, the EPO may soon back down, because it will see
that you can't get a revision proposal through the parliaments if you
change Art 52. Pressing a revision proposal through only a few
parliaments and not all may even break the foundations of the EPO.
