Hi !
First of all, thanks for your explanation.
Let's see if I could understand your view.
Well, for me it is clear that Doppler could patent a radar or even
copyright a program to calculate the Doppler shift.
But not patenting such program!

You said that a soft program " is only another language to write his
theory".

Some words later you add that if that program solves a technical problem
should be patentable.

Thus, according with yourself, a theory written , no matters what
language used(english or C++) ,wich solves a technical problem , should
be patentable.
Do you realize what would happen if all scientific theories probed
truthful in a laboratory were patented and monopolized?
If you agree that Doppler could patent a program to calculate the
Doppler shift because "it solves a technical problem and gives a result
that has some effect in our real world",
Why not simply patent the math formula wich solves the Doppler shift
?(actually that would not be very far from a C++ computer program)
I repeat this is a nightmare because you are not just keeping
enterprises out of getting money making your radar (I could accept this)
but forbiding to get money making any device or program wich solves
Doppler shift.
If you allow patenting soft you allow patenting ideas and them there
will be no more differences between "discovery" and "invention"(using
your words)

I let for finishing a funny  view from you:
You difference between soft that just implement a theory and soft wich
solves a tech problem.
Do you realize?
Just the second ones, according with you, should be patentable.

Humm I do not deal very much with coders but I would swear that I never
met one who program for just implementing theories.

Sort of bad joke:
Hey you, man!
I have been watching you coding for  "implementing theories" but just
now you started "solving a problem".
Stop infringeing my soft patent now or I release my lawyers.
