I'm looking to get some advice on how to avoid infringing software patents
that may or may not be valid in Europe.

I've talked to a couple of 'patent lawyers' but they don't seem to be very
genned up on the concept of software patents.

Can anyone suggest where would I find people with legal expertise
specifically in dealing with software patents (even more specifically LZW).
Preferably UK based.
