Reading this mailing list since March 19, 1999 I cannot find any
attribution from Dr Janice Williams exept this unsubscribtion.

IANAL so I cannot contribute so much to this list. But some occasions
forced me to express my (company's) policy.

Why should Pilch not inform someone how to behave on the net ? If you
don't want to feel the heat, don't join the party.

Do I need to mention RFC 1855 on this list ? I hope not. What do you say
when someone is driving on the highway without a driver's license ? It
is that simple, Greg : education. Not only at parties or the golf course
but also on the net.

Toulouse had also the opportinity to send his message in private to
Pilch, who does not hide his e-mail address. But Toulouse chosed to send
his message to this list and that is then the place where he can expect
the answer.

And my cristall ball is unclear on the preferences of Pilch (as it is on
anyone's preferences) ;-). So your personal attack on Pilch is even
worse because you are attacking Pilch on the same you are guilty now.

The fact that Pilch does not share your (wrong -or should I say typical
USA centric-) ideas on a misnomer like Intellectual Property / software
patents does not imply that his proponents should not know how to
behave. See RFC 1855.

> And you do owe Toulouse an apology.

Because RFC 1855 is not mentioned on AFUL's website ? If anyone is going
on the net, they should get their driver's license. And if they don't
want that, they should take the heat.

Personally I would like to applaud all of the people on this list who
still tolerate those annoying HTML messages. For those of us who don't
use an HTML enabled mail reader these messages are in fact unreadable.
And still nobody complains.

In case you think that I referred to many times to RFC 1855, I hope you
are right. In general I must refer to the important points many times in
any course I present. Otherwise, most pupils forget. It is annoying, I
know. I just hope it might help.

Greg, don't try to tackle Pilch on off-topic subjects. I can't stand
that.

Regards,

Fred
