No, Hartmut is Right, regardless if he's "altruistic" or "selfish". He's 
an abolitionist. There were abolitionists who wanted to free the 
slaves and were motivated by idea, and there were some who 
wanted to free them, because, for example, they had a vision of 
being well-known. I'm sure that Hartmut is in the first category 
(idea).

By contrast, you, in some form, remind the person whose payable 
form of gaining money is to buy out a slave and then sell him his 
freedom. Well, it's better than you wanted to keep him/her in 
slavery, but it's still wrong, because once the slavery is abolished, 
you become unemployed. It's a comparison, of course; look to my 
former messages, I've pointed there the links between sw-pats and 
slavery out.
