Oh so noble, and or so pointless.  Don't electrical, chemical, biotech,
mechanical, and other engineers have freedom's too?  Don't they exercise
logic in their inventions?  Yes and Yes.  So why aren't you demanding
that there be no patents in these fields of engineering as well?  
Software is just another field of engineering - nothing noble about it,
and no reason its activities are any different than any other field of
engineering.  So where are your calls to end patents in all fields of
engineering, not just software, so that all engineers have the freedom
to exercise logic freely???????

Have the guts to publicly argue what you really believe - the end of the
entire patent system.
