Recently there have been some announcements, touting a new system for
internet telephony called Speex as "patent free".

An old guru in the field, prof. Schulzrinne, coined the wordplay:

"The problem of Internet Telephony is that we have no voice over IP"

I just wonder to what extent the Speex people really solved this problem.

(partially in german)

Help in clarifying would be very much appreciated.
