So can I count on you to help find and promote a replacement
expansion of the IP acronym ?

For now I've decided on Intellectual Patrimony because:

1) the work was created by somebody, who then published the work for
all of mankind to see; the creator of the work should get some
compensation for that, to encourage the publishing of the work

2) ultimately the work belongs to all of mankind

3) in the future the work can be used as an inspiration or a basis for new
works, just like the work itself is based on or inspired by the works
of thousands of years of human culture

patrimony, n:   An inheritance or legacy; heritage.
