Hi all,

FYI and a little question.

I read here that finally "The Council reached agreement on a common
political approach regarding the Community Patent."
http://www.corriere.it/Primo_Piano/Economia/2003/03_Marzo/03/brevetto.shtml

in english here you can read the final decisions.
http://ue.eu.int/pressData/en/intm/74752.pdf

The document only cites burocratic stuff (the jurisdictional system,
language and costs, the role of national patent offices, distribution
of fees).  It finally states as a last sentence: «Given that the EPO
would  be responsible  for  examining  patent applications  and
granting Community  patents,  the  new  system would require the
Community's accession to the Munich Convention as well as a revision of
that Convention.»

Is this agreement already a main pain-in-the-butt for us or it was
expected and it's not that big of a news?

regards
stef
