Grow up.  Many other fields of technology (electronics, communications,
biotech, pharma, etc.) have learned to tapdance in these patent minefields.
It is something mature industries learned to deal with.  There is nothing
special or holy about software engineering.  And if you bothered to do any
research, you would find the minefields in these other areas of technology much worse than for software, in terms of real legal problems companies
big and small are experiencing.  But in fantasy land, imagine what you want.

Assuming software engineering is not a mature field of technonlogy, do we have to suffer like other industry because of something special or holy like patent?

The thing that is special or holy about software engineering is that we implement pure idea in non material, non physical world. Other field of technology do need inventive (and non inventive) software too. The reverse is not really true, we don't need pharma or biotech (but we need some non inventive electronics that we call generic computer or turing machine).

Basicaly I don't want those trouble. It is difficult to evaluate if the minefield will be worse or not for software, but we have good reason to say NO to software patent. I don't ask for an exception, I ask for the respect of the rules set long ago and that the EPO is not respecting anymore.
