  Many people recognize that different subject matter that can currently
be patented have different business economics behind them.  We can all
legitimately disagree on what policy is appropriate given these different
economic circumstances, but these differences are simply fact.  How
someone can not recognize the trivially obvious differences between
pharmaceuticals, software and other subject matter is beyond
comprehension.


  Maybe it is your lack of knowledge of the diverse economic possibilities
within software that is really at issue here.  You have already both
admitted and displayed a lack of basic comprehension of Free/Libre and
Open Source Software which is an important part of understanding software
innovation, although obviously not the only economic analysis required to
understand how software and each other subject matter is different.
