The online journalist of the following article seems to confuse
JURI and even "the EU" with the opinion of the rapporteur on the
new IP enforcement directive, Janelly Fourtou, who has criticized the CEC
proposal for not catering strongly enough to the interests of her
companies like Vivendi, of which her husband is the president.

Note that Fourtou is also pushing for program claims, which means that she
wants to subject those who publish their own software to the same (already
disproportionate) sanctions which she is asking to impose on copyright
violatiors.  The directive proposal lumps them all together under "IP".

A new European Union proposal for harmonizing intellectual property
law enforcement across member states has come under criticism from
the first parliamentary committee to review it.

The committee has suggested that the proposal may need to be modified
to better reflect the interests of the music and film industries.
