According to

some decision will be taken on 03/09/01, but I don't know what the codes
there (DGII, DGI etc) mean, so I am unable to conclude from this that the
plenary vote has been delayed.

Does anyone have a clue?

Much of the text parrots the CEC patent lawyer propaganda which describes
the EPO's practise as restrictive and the CEC proposal as even more
restrictive (greatly exaggerating the meaning of refusal of program
claims) and of course misrepresents the law and national caselaw.

There is no reference to the Europarl hearing of Nov 11 nor to the
Bakels&Hugenholtz study, but there is a link to the ESC opinion (PDF
file), but of course does not mention the criticism of the EPO or any
other critical point of view which is contained in this document.

Of course the hearing page itself also contains only an unauthorised
version of my speech and a lot of papers of patent lobbyists who weren't
invited to the hearing but no papers of people from our side who weren't
invited.

Does anyone have an idea who is dominating the editing of these pages and
how these people could be incited to abide by minimal standards of
fairness and objectivity?

Can't they now at least also mention the petition, which has been
submitted to the parliament, and place a link to petition.eurolinux.org ?

Is the opinion of 1450000 people so unworthy of mentioning in a supposedly
democratic representative institution?
