As explained before, this discussion is involving a large number of
unknown lists whose policy nobody here can oversee. The unsub trolls are
at fault. They have not even taken the pain to research on what list they
are and who runs that list. Instead they entertain hundreds of
unconcerned people about their private problems. There is a real
danger that this will turn into a stampede, thus destroying communication
without even getting a single one of the trolls unsubscribed.
One way to reduce the likelihood of such stampedes is to avoid
cross-posting. E.g. remove all lists from CC except the ones to which you
have subscribed and the soundness of whose subscription methods you can
trust.
I can assure that at least on patents at aful org there is nobody who has
not subscribe himself voluntarily there and that it is easy to find out
how to unsubscribe from patents at aful org by going to
http://www.aful.org/wws/. But, as said, trolls don't read the
documentation, nor are they willing to even research what they subscribed
and what the procedures are. All they are capable of doing is to
shout out their pain to the world, like a baby.
