Since MP took office, MS has already been rolling out some explicit
licensing programs, including ones on their whole portfolio (reminiscent
of IBM's taxation practise), but also not shying away from explicitly
subjecting FAT, Office Formats and other interoperability-related schemes
to patent licensing.
The name MP makes one think of military campaigns. Is "Marshall" really a
part of a name, or is it part of bellicose rhetoric ("strategic" etc), as
frequently found in the corporate world and especially at MS ?
