According to Heise's report at
http://www.heise.de/newsticker/data/anw-14.01.04-008/
which is based on a press release by Acacia and, due to the EPO's new
policy of holding back patent information, difficult to verify. We
thus do not know whether they have obtained the same broad claims that
allowed them to forbid almost any kind of video streaming in the US.
Given the EPO's record, we must assume that they have.
It will be interesting to see whether Acacia will try to assert this
patent in Europe now, which has been registered as a national patent at
least in DE, CH and FR, according to Acacia.
