I never read in the French Code Civil that a lawyer was NEEDED to go to court.
The legislator explanation is: if individuals are supposed to know the laws,
individuals shall be able to defend themselves in court.
In the same idea, individuals do not have to carry an ID card when walking in
the streets. A policeman can ASK you to bring your ID later on to proove your
identity, but you are not REQUIRED to carry an ID.
Our society is not a prison. We are already free. Our rights are garanteed by
the respective constitutions of the European democracies. IMHO, I would be in
favor of standing naked (=without lawyers) in court.
On the long-run, non-violence is preferable, as we need to preserve the
capital of sympathy for free-software.
Best regards,
Jean-Michel
