European Parliament, by its active position in the question of Softwarte
Directive expressed real concern other the lack of democratic processes:
The law is more and more lobbied by strong economic groups, which do not
need democratic processes, because they use money for achieving their goals.
In this way the law is dominated by the economic goals of such minority
groups. That means not inventors but patent owners.
The creativity required for fulfillment of genuine law function: protecting
harmonic development of mankind (economic policy included) is dumped by
dumping of democratic processes.
This trend is clearly disclosed by massive presence of legal claims to
exclusive rights to use old, widly spread methods, in new environment as
Internet.
That is why EP called for the spirit of common sens!
Sorry if my English is not good enough but on the other hand patenting of
business methods is a sign of either poor understanding of English or the
economy (unfair elimination of competition)
