Subject: Re: [SpamCop
    (http://swpat.ffii.org/news/03/plen0924/index.en.html) id:1064566953]FFII
    EU Voters Guide Page

It seems that someone on the fsfeurope list where Seth Johnson sent his
mail was angry and then went to Spamcop and gave us trouble.   The trouble
is even greater when we send out mail to our supporters, i.e. people who
have agreed explicitely to receiving such mails and can unsubscribe any
time but prefer reporting to Spamcop to the hassle of reading a short
text with brain switched on.

As said before, Spamcop requires at least a few manhours per week if
not a full-time paid job from every NGO. I called that the "Spamcop tax"
at

        http://kwiki.ffii.org/SpamcopEn

and at the moment we don't have the money nor can we afford to give up
forms of communication that lead to spamcop reporting.  So we just have
to put up with it and perhaps alert more users to the limitations of
Spamcop.
