What is going on? I didn't find the description (in english) earlier, but now
when having read it, they are simply describing a method utilized by many
at the time for application. How can someone trying to patent something like
this?

This can certainly be used in many ways
1) To show how ridiculus software patents are.
2) How they make us all "criminals". (who would care about this patent?)
3) How software patents are generally harmful for society!
    a) If e.g. google, yahoo, altavista, dogpile, askjeeves, webcrawler etc
would care about this patent, would they be able to provide the
service
for the humanity as good as they are doing now?
    b) Assume that  they did care about this patent, and then some of these
search engines would become bankrupt, would that be beneficial?
        for who?
4) Patent busting of course, or questioning the whole patent system. If
patents can't be handled by those being in charge, that is kill patent
applications which have tremendous amounts of prior art, then the
system is not working. It is possible that the patent offices managed
the classical patents, but obviously they can  not handle software
    patents.
