[Jean-Marc Le Peuvédic <cocktails@freesurf.fr>]

Hello !

The local paper announces the 5th iDemocracy World Forum on sept
29th and 30th. I write in english even though this is mostly a
Franco-French event.

There is a call for participation of the public : 1500 seats
available. There is a web site on www.issy.com.

Some themes are of major interest to us, including :

- Enjeux d'une administration électronique libre : indépendance
technologique européenne, créations d'emplois et innovations (workshop
29th) by the Association des Sociétés de Service en Logiciels Libres.

- Gouvernance et démocratie dans le cyberespace : quelle vision
stratégique pour les décideurs européens ? (workshop 30th) Institut Politech

- Access to the Information Society : the challenge of the digital
fracture on a North/South scale (round table, 30th), by Mr.
Martin-Lalande (french MP, Loir-et-Cher)

Plus the presence of Minister François d'Aubert (research) and
Patrick Devedjian (Industry, responsible in part for the vote in June).

   The 29th is a wednesday, 30th is a thursday. I cannot attend.
Registration are by mail at inscriptionforum@altedia.fr

There are some costs for people who do not live in Issy les
Moulineaux. I can probably provide accomodation for volunteers.

   Jean-Marc Le Peuvédic.
