Report Piracy
Software piracy causes widespread damage. To business... to your
industry... but most importantly of all, to you.

Everyday hassles IT professionals experience include serial number
clashes, system failures, even network problems. And as you well know,
all of these take valuable hours to sort out.

You probably won't be surprised to learn that an average of one in every
four software programs currently in use is an illegal copy (source:
BSA/IPR study, 1994-2002). Because of this "everyone does it" mentality,
many end-users perceive software piracy as being "no big deal". And
they're usually unaware of the consequences it can have on the IT
system. Not to mention the software industry -- lower revenues mean
higher prices and less to spend on applications development.

Management however, should be well aware of the dangers of software
crime — for them to ignore or condone it is inexcusable. Perhaps, like
many, you have left a company where software piracy was out of control.
Walking away won't help others like you in a similar position — taking
action will.

As you know, there are many kinds of software piracy: from using one
disk to install a program on multiple computers to downloading software
from the Internet.Every example is illegal and dangerous.

But doing something about it is easy. "Make a Report" is a quick, simple
way to fight software piracy. And you can file a report in total
anonymity.

Through December 31, 2004, a reward up to £20,000* is available for
every END USER report successfully concluded. However, if you want to
claim the reward given you will need to supply us with your name and
contact details. That way, you'll also be kept up-to-date with
developments in the case.

It's up to you whether or not you supply us with your personal details.
Either way, total confidentiality is assured.

*Through December 31, 2004, a reward of 10% of any recovery value up to
£20,000 will be paid for information which leads to successful judgment
or settlement. In accordance with its policies, BSA only provides
rewards in relation to reports concerning end users.
