Hello all,

simo <simo.sorce@xsec.it> a =C3=A9crit=C2 :
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/09/26/technology/26patent.html?ex=3D1159934400&=
en=3Dc3eb8a2bc7f7a219&ei=3D5070&emc=3Deta1

Interesting link.

> IBM finally recognizes publicly that patents are a "huge barrier" !

Not quite. IBM just says that "dubious" patents are a threat
to them, because of trolls. But as it is explained some paragraphs
later :

"It remains committed, for example, to software patents, which have=20=20
stirred opposition in Europe and elsewhere. And the company plans to=20=20
continue to be a leader in patent filings."

So, this is not good news : they are just tring to make
people figure out that the patent problem is just a matter
of quality, in the software domain too.

A+,
